I bought this for my West Highland White Terrier puppy. He didn't really play with it at 8 weeks old, but about 2 weeks later he started to enjoy it. I haven't tried the kong snacks to go with the toy, but we found cheese and other solid small treats good to stuff it with (less solid like peanut butter doesn't seem to work as well). It's quite bouncy if you drop it and so my dog also likes to chase and fetch it, so it also makes a good toy when nothing is inside it. Despite being made from strong rubber, it's really light so it won't hurt your dog.
