Super Dooper Pooper Scooper
I bought this because I had hurt my back and could not bend down. It is brilliant and I shall continue to use it. It is the most efficient way to pick up dog poo and anything else you don't want to touch. Very hygienic - no mess. I would recommend this for anyone with the proviso that if you have bad problems bending get the longer version. I got the shorter one because it is easier to carry and goes in a back pack for long walks.
Better than small hand held scoopers
Benefits are that it feels sturdy & well made, you can load it with up to 3 poop bags meaning less fiddling around when out & about, you can keep the poop further away as you tie up the bag (I hold the handle between my knees so the scoop end is almost at arms length) and you can carry the tied up bag of poop still in the jaws of the scoop until you reach a bin.
Negatives are that it's a bit cumbersome to carry (but worth it!) and it's still not possible to get a "clean scoop" on longer grass or if the canine offering is on the less solid side! It is definitely better than the small, hand held scoops though which I used to have to crouch down to use, fruitlessly jabbing away at any softer deposits! It's not a good idea to repeatedly try to scoop with the Handiscoop anyway as the jaws will start to score the bag and might eventually perforate it. Not what you want!
Apparently you can use the scoop without bags but I can't imagine why you'd want to do that....

This scoop is such a good idea.
I have to use a scooter to take my dog out for a walk, and bending down to ground level to pick up poo is a really difficult task.
This scoop is just the right length, and with a bag on the scoop you don't get your hands anywhere near the poo when you pick it up.
Wish I'd bought one years ago.
