Received the dog duvet today and was a bit disappointed it has a zip fastener, the
description states stud fasteners.
I ended up having to tidy up the zip ends with a bit of stitching myself as they weren't quite finished off, I also found the zip very stiff to pull on but maybe it just needs a bit of use.
All in all not too bad a bed but not perfect as they used to be years ago.
The material used is very nice and looks hardwearing and only time will tell. My previous Danish Design fleece cover was much better stitched (approx. 12 years old and only now falling to bits)
Attractive looking functional product, but not perfect.
Overall I'm pleased with my purchase, but after only a month of use I have noticed a few things:
Pros - quick delivery (within a few days), good size and seems comfortable (I have a bulldog who likes to stretch out and did so as soon as I got it out of the bag), nice dark brown corduroy cover which removes easily for washing and seems hard wearing material.
Cons - although the cover removes easily (one good quality zipper down one side), the first time I used it the stitching just at the side of the opening part of the zipper ripped/unravelled. It was about an inch of stitching right at the corner. Easily fixed and hasn't impacted the functionality of the product however for something new and of this quality I didn't expect it. Secondly, not a huge negative, but the loft/thickness of the pillow seems to flatten pretty quickly. After 3 weeks of use by a 30kg dog I'm not completely surprised, but I think it will need replaced within the year.
