My dog has been on burns for almost his whole life, more than 12 years. He only has 3 legs, but still skips about like a puppy. The main reason was the amount of poop he used to produce. Burns cuts this down by at least half. When he goes on his holidays to my parents and is fed on cheaper food, the fecal matter is much much more. Once back on the burns, it's much easier to pick up. It may be more expensive but you only need half the volume of normal food, put a scoop in hot water and watch it swell to 2 or 3 times the volume. He's a large Labrador, but a large bag of burns does him over 6 weeks. I cannot recommend this food highly enough.
